baby shower goodies

had a baby shower for my sister this weekend...
so fun.
had a great group of ladies come and celebrate her
and made goodies for decoration.
used the Big Shot and lots of So Saffron and Certainly Celery to create lots of cute shower things.
this was the decorative banner, and next is one of the pennants close up:

my sister loves horses, owns horses and has been a 'horse-girl' since she was a toddler.
so, i added horses (made with the Cricut machine)
and then butterflies because i thought those were a cute gender-neutral accent.
here is the diaper cake i made, in trying to not make a totally cheesey one:

again, same colors, horse and lots of butterflies.
used one of the gift boxes that looks like a paint can that you see in random craft stores these days as the center.  hardest part was getting yarn around the diapers in that general form, without my kitty destroying it all and the diapers not falling over.
and lastly, a little party favor:

filled with a plastic bag of chocolate covered raisins and dark chocolate sun drops (organic m&m's).

it was a nice party and we had a great time.
can't wait for the best part now... the baby!!
few more weeks.

  1. I love all the decorations and the goodies Lou! Great colors for the gender neutral baby!

  2. It was great fun and thanks for all your hard work...mom
